Narrator is a people-oriented service provided by Microsoft Operating systems including Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows XP. It transforms the word into voice on the computer, which can greatly assist users with poor sight to read the contents displayed on the screen and use their computers with convenience. Method 1: Turn it on by means of composite key.
You can press WIN key and Enter to turn it on instantly.
Method 2: Turn on Windows 8 Narrator in Search bar.
Step 1: Press the composite key of WIN key+F to open Search bar.
Step 2: Choose Apps in the list, enter narrator in the search box and click Narrator on the left results, as shown in the following photo.
Besides, after turning on Windows 8 Narrator, you are capable of making changes to its settings such as voice, navigation, commands, etc. More specifically speaking, on the desktop, you can click Narrator icon on the left of task bar to open Narrator Settings window, and then make changes to Voice, Navigation and other settings in it.
