If the Narrator app is one of the frequently-used programs in your Windows computer, you can think about making a Narrator shortcut on the desktop. Meanwhile, this article will introduces the three methods to make a shortcut for Narrator on Windows 8 computer for your reference.

Step 1: On the desktop, right-click the blank space, choose New in the menu and select Shortcut in the sub-menu.
Step 2: Input the following location of the Narrator app (with or without double quotes) and tap Next in the Create Shortcut window.
"C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessibility\Narrator.lnk"
Step 3: Click Finish to create this shortcut.
By use of this method, the Narrator shortcut (see the following screen shot) will show up on the desktop.
Tip: With the CMD file, you are able to indirectly open the program via Command Prompt.
Step 1: Open Notepad or a new text document.
Step 2: Type narrator in the opened file.
Step 3: After opening File menu and choosing Save As, name the file, add ".cmd" (no double quotes) to the file name and tap Save.
Note: Do not name the file as Narrator (or narrator). If not, you are unable to open the app with the help of the CMD file.
With this method, the shortcut pointed out in the picture below will turn up.
