What is NTFS? Developed by Microsoft, NTFS is a kind of file system that tells the OS about how to store, name and organize files in the hard drive like traditional HDD and popular SSD. It is used by Windows OS by default, from Windows XP to Windows 10.
When you clone a single partition or entire hard drive in your Windows computer, it's can be understood as cloning an NTFS partition/drive in some degree. So, how to realize the NTFS partition or drive clone easily but effectively? Here must be the best answer for you.
Tips: The following way can be applied to clone NTFS partition/HDD/SSD/external hard drive in Windows.
1. When you plan to copy the NTFS partition to another one, you need to backup the data of another NTFS volume firstly. If you want to clone an NTFS hard drive, please make sure the target hard drive is properly initialized and its file system is NTFS. Also, backup the target NTFS drive if there are important files in it.
2. Install tool iSunshare CloneGo on your Windows computer. During the NTFS to NTFS cloning process, iSunshare CloneGo plays the important role of completely copying the content(e.g. system, data, applications)from the source NTFS partition/drive to the target one.
Step 1: Run CloneGo and the Copy using interface will be shown without any clicks.
Step 2: In the Select a Source Partition option, choose the NTFS volume that you want to clone. In the Select a Target Partition option, click another NTFS volume to save the cloned partition. If the cloned partition is installed with Windows OS, you can make it bootable by clicking Set the target partition as the boot disk option.
Step 3: Hit Start button and click Yes option to confirm copying the NTFS partition.
