At the mention of Sticky Keys, many users are wondering how to make related settings to it. So this article will particularly illustrate the steps to set up Sticky Keys in Windows 8 computer.
Step 1: Open Ease of Access Center by Windows+U hotkeys.
Step 2: In Ease of Access Center, find and click Make the keyboard easier to use.
Step 3: In the next window, choose Set up Sticky Keys.
Step 4: As the window of Set up Sticky Keys appears, check the box before Turn on Sticky Keys.
Step 5: Keep the settings of Keyboard shortcut, Options and Feedback which are automatically selected, or deselect those unnecessary according to the specific needs.
Note: The following explanation is for your reference.
1. In Options, if the option of Lock modifier keys when pressed twice in row is selected, when you press Ctrl, Alt or Shift twice, the key is under locked (or pressed) state until you click it again. For instance, if you want to copy and paste something, when you press Ctrl twice, after choosing the object, you can press C key to copy it, and then directly press V key to paste it, without pressing Ctrl.
2. If the option of Turn off Sticky Keys when two keys are pressed at once is chosen, you can use any two keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl+Shift, Ctrl+Alt, Windows Logo Key+F…) to turn off Sticky Keys.
3. In Feedback, suppose the box before Display the Sticky Keys icon on the task bar is checked, the Sticky Keys icon will be shown on the task bar later.
Step 6: Click OK to finish the settings and make them take effect.
