In many cases, users access the System in the Control Panel through the Properties option in the Computer context menu (see the following picture), and then go to change computer name, set virtual memory and so forth. If you want to stop other people from getting into the System settings by this method, you can remove Properties from Computer context menu. And this text will show you how to realize the target in Windows 8 computer by means of four steps.
Video guide on how to remove Properties from Computer context menu on Windows 8:
Step 1: Start the Local Group Policy Editor.
Step 2: Find and double-click the setting called "Remove Properties from the Computer icon context menu".
Incidentally speaking, you can find it in User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Desktop.
Step 3: Choose Enabled and tap OK to enable the above setting.
Step 4: Restart or Shut down the computer.
After the 4 steps, the setting comes into effect at once. In other words, when you right-click the Computer icon on the desktop or in the File Explorer, the Properties option disappears from the context menu.
