It is extremely simple to create a Windows Journal shortcut on the desktop in Windows 8/8.1 computer. Just continue reading this text and you'll see how easy it is.

Step 1: Right-tap any blank area on the desktop, click New in the context menu and select Shortcut to open a new shortcut.
Step 2: Copy and paste the following location information of Windows Journal in the empty box and tap Next to continue.
"C:\Program Files\Windows Journal\Journal.exe"
Tip: It is also acceptable if the above location info is without double quotation marks.
Step 3: Click Finish to complete creating this shortcut.
From the screen shot below, you can see that the Journal (i.e. Windows Journal) shortcut has been created on the desktop.
