If you want to save the time to find and open the Math Input Panel (also known as MIP) in your Windows 8 PC, you can create a shortcut for it on the desktop and then access it directly through the shortcut. Step 1: Begin to create the shortcut.
On the desktop, right-click any blank area, choose New in the context menu and select Shortcut in the sub-menu.
Step 2: Type the location information of MIP and move on.
The location info of MIP to be input is "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ink\mip.exe". After typing it in the Create Shortcut window, click Next to continue.
Tips: As to the location info of MIP, the double quotation marks must be included.
Step 3: Name the shortcut and finish the settings.
Name this shortcut as Math Input Panel, or keep the default name (i.e. mip), and then tap Finish to complete the settings.
After the three steps above, the shortcut of Math Input Panel is successfully created on the desktop in Windows 8 computer.
