Start On Click: Start an animation after a mouse click on a slide.

Start With Previous: Play an animation at the same time as the previous animation.

Start After Previous: Appear an animation immediately after the previous animation finishes.

Duration: Specify the length of an animation to lengthen or shorten an effect.

Delay: Play the animation after a certain number of seconds.

Tip: You can preview an animation effect by selecting the object and select Preview in the Animation ribbon.

Step 1. Click the object, open Animation Pane and select an animation.

Step 2. Use the up and down arrows at the bottom of the Animation Pane dialog box to change the animation order.

Move Earlier: Move the current animation to paly earlier in the sequence.

Move Later: Move the current animation to play later in the sequence.

You can move the target object across the PowerPoint slide by using a Motion Path Animation. Here are the steps to create a Motion Path Animation.

Step 1. Select the object that you need to animate.

Step 2. Select Animation on the toolbar, click the downward pointing arrow of Animation, and choose Motion Path like Lines, Arcs, Turns, Shapes, and Loops. Or Click more Motion Path to get more effects.

Tip: You can choose Custom Path to create your own Motion Path, drag to draw Motion Path on the PowerPoint slide. Press Esc when you finish, and then the animation effect will demonstrate on the slide.
