In some cases, we need to use Cached Exchange Mode to make our work efficiency. For instance, the network speed is extremely slow or even disconnected. Therefore, to switch Cached Exchange Mode to online mode, you have to enable or disable Cached Exchange Mode in Outlook 2007/2010/2013/2016 according to your physical truth.
Cached Exchange Mode requires you have a Microsoft Exchange Account for the first step. The copy of your Outlook email data will be saved on your PC. When you are using Microsoft Outlook in Cached Exchange Mode with the net connection, it will automatically use the cached data to speed up downloading. Then new information would synchronize to the same place of cache. If you are offline, just keep working on Outlook, it will upload when the network is available.
Locate the version of your Outlook and follow the steps below to learn how to use Cached Exchange Mode in Outlook 2007/2010/2013/2016.
Step 1: Launch Outlook 2007, click Tool on the Menu Bar then select Account Settings from the list.
Step 2: Under E-mail tab, choose the Exchange account then click on Change.
Step 3: In Microsoft Exchange server section, choose the Use Cached Exchange Mode check box and tap on OK button to save changes.
Tips: Once you want to disable Cached Exchange Mode in Outlook 2007, uncheck the box "Use Cached Exchange Mode" instead.
Step 1: At the top-left corner, click on File. Click on the Down Arrow next to Account Settings and select Account Settings again.
Step 2: In the E-mail section, click on Change.
Step 3: In Change Account window, tick the box front Use Cached Exchange Mode as the image below.
Step 1: Tap on File in the upper right, expand Account Settings and click Account Settings from the drop-down.
Step 2: In the E-mail tab, click on Change.
Step 3: Once the window pop-ups, check the box that saying Use Cached Exchange Mode under Offline Settings part.
