You've probably experienced something like this: ads pop up while you open a website. They are spam advertisement and so annoying to you. However, there are some pop-up windows that we may need to see in time, such as emails, monthly consumption or payment bills. So you need to start or close the pop-up blocker based on your actual needs. This document explains how to block or allow pop-ups in your browser.
Step 1: Open Firefox, click on three horizontal lines at the top-right corner. Select Options from the dropdown list.
Step 2: In the right panel, click on Privacy & Security tab. Under Permission section, uncheck the box fronts Block pop-up windows to disable pop-ups blocker in Firefox.
Tips: You can go to Privacy & Security tab directly by inputting "about:preferences#privacy" in the address box and Enter.
Step 3: If you want to show all pop-ups uncheck the box instead. Once you want to show the pop-ups of the website you need, click on Exceptions button. Input the website into the box below Address of website and Save changed.
Step 1: Click on the vertical ellipsis and select Settings.
Step 2: Scroll down, tap on Advanced at the bottom of page. In Privacy and security part, click on Content settings.
Step3: Scroll down and find Popups option. While you want to block all popups in Google Chrome, turn the switch into gray. To the contrary, popups will be blocked completely if you turn it to blue.
Note: In order to block or allow the pop-ups you want, click on Add behind Block or Allow button to make an exception.
Step 1: Click on gear shape icon behind the five-pointed star at top-right corner, then select Internet options.
Step 2: In the Internet options window, switch to Privacy tab. Disallow ads by ticking on checkbox of Turn on Pop-up Blocker. In this case, you can click on Settings to make a list of site you want to allow pop-ups. Untick the checkbox will turn off pop-up blocker and admit all ads sent information to you.
Tips: Click on Tools from the Menu Bar and navigate to Pop-up Blocker option. Select Pop-up Blocker settings to open Internet options window.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge, click on ellipsis at the top-right corner and select Settings.
Step 2: Tap on View advanced settings button under "Advanced settings" section.
Step 3: According to your actual situation to turn Block pop-ups to "On" or "Off".
Step 1: Click on Menu icon, located at top-right corner.
Step 2: Tick on Block Pop-up Window option to enable pop-ups blocker. Otherwise pop-ups blocker will be disabled.
Step 3: For more information, you can also click on Preference under Block Pop-up Window.
Step 4: Under Security tab, you can decide to tick or untick the checkbox.
Step 1: From the top-right corner, click on Menu and select Settings.
Step 2: Tap on Privacy & security on the sidebar. Tick on the checkbox of Block ads and surf the web up to three times faster, pup-ups window will be disabled. Click the Manage exceptions to create a list of website which you want them to send you pop-ups. Untick to receive all.
