What is USB debugging? USB debugging means the act of tracking bugs via USB, which is intended for development purposes only. You can use it to duplicate data between your computer and your device, install apps on your device without notification and read log data. So how can we enable USB debugging on Android? It varies with the Android version.
First of all, you need to know the Android version of your phones. You can find it on your phone information section. Try to tap Settings > About Device > Software information (or System in some Android version) > Android version and then you can know which Android version your phone have on.
Step 1: Tap Menu button so that you can enter into App drawer.
Step 2: Access Settings and tap About phone which you can find at the bottom of setting interface.
Step 3: In the About phone interface, you will see Build Number option at its bottom. Tap it continuously until you see the countdown “You are now a developer”.
Step 4: Click the Back button and you can see the Developer options menu is activated.
Step 5: Now you can turn USB debugging on and then tap OK to allow USB debugging.
Step 1: Head to Settings > Developer options, and enable the Developer options.
Step 2: As the Developer options is on, you can go to find USB debugging option and tick the box behind it.
Step 3: When you get the pop-out window to allow USB debugging, you just need to hit the OK button and the USB debugging is turned on successfully.
For the smartphone with Android 2.3 or older versions on, it is much easier to turn on USB debugging. You just need to tap Settings > Applications> Development > USB Debugging orderly and enable it in the end.
