If you not only want to check whether Windows 8 is activated, but also would like to check the activation info including version name, activation ID, license status and so forth, this article will mainly tell you how to use different run commands to check activation information in Windows 8 computer.

Run command 1: slmgr.vbs -dlv
Open the Run dialog with Windows Logo Key+R hotkeys, type slmgr.vbs -dlv in the empty box and click OK.
By use of this command, as shown in the following screen shot, you can check the version of the system, name of the edition, activation ID, application ID, installation ID, partial product key, license status, trusted time, etc.
Run Command 2: slmgr.vbs -dli
Open Run dialog, input slmgr.vbs -dli in the blank box and tap OK.
With this run command, you can check the activation info, the name of the edition, brief description of the system, partial product key and license status included.
Run command 3: Winver (or winver)
In the Run dialog, enter Winver in the box and click OK.
When the window of About Windows pop up, you can view the information of system version and the user the system is licensed to.
