Windows safe mode can help you to diagnose the issues causing the computer to malfunction. When you boot the computer into safe mode, you will only get basic files and drivers that it needs to run while other nonessential features are turned off. There are three types of safe modes:

  • 1. Safe Mode: You will get only basic features of Windows and there is no third-party programs running. No networking, too. It is the safest way to use your computer.
  • 2. Safe Mode with Networking: Only basic features are enabled in this mode. But you can connect to the Internet. The computer is still at risk of being hacked.
  • 3. Safe Mode with Command Prompt: Only Command Prompt is enabled. You can only use the computer via command lines. If you are not skillful at command prompt, do not choose this option.
