When we edit document especially write a notice, we have to insert date in Word. It is vexing that manually types the date or time in Word. Luckily, you meet with us. Read this article and learn how to insert the current date in Word 2007 - 2016.
Step 1: Open Word, click on Insert tab. Locate Text group and click on Date & Time.
Step 2: In the Date and Time dialog box, choose Language from the right field. Select the formatted date under Available Formats in the left panel. You can tap on Set as Default while using it frequently.
Note: If you check the Update Automatically box in the lower-left corner, select the date and press F9 to refresh automatically.
By default, the Developer tab does not show in the Menu Bar. So, we have to customize the ribbon.
Step 1: Click on the icon at the top-left and tap on Word Options.
Step 2: Click the Popular tab, choose Show Developer tab in the Ribbon check box. Tap on OK to save changes.
Step 3: Locate Developer tab, click on Date Picker icon to insert date. Then you will see a box show "Click here to enter a date" inside, click the Down arrow next to it. In this way, you can insert date to Word 2007.
Step 1: Navigate to File > Options.
Step 2: Under Customize Ribbon tab, check Developer in the Main tabs list.
Step 3: Click Developer tab, tap on Date Picker Content Control.
In Word Field window, you can choose the save date, print date, and create date.
Step 1: Click on Insert tab, tap on Quick Parts in the Text section. Select Field from the drop-down list.
Step 2: As the image shown below, select Date and Time under Categories. Select the date formats and tap on OK to save changes.
To insert the current date into Word, press Alt + Shift + D key. Press Alt + Shift + T combination keys, you can insert current time in Word. Note: The insert date and time match to your system date and time.
