BitLocker is a disk encryption feature included with Microsoft Windows since Windows Vista. As BitLocker doesn't have a built-in backdoor, it is so secure for all of us to use it. What's more, it's free. But in some cases, we are unable to access a Windows computer. Under such circumstances, it is feasible to open it on a Mac as well. To do that, we have to mount BitLocker encrypted drive in macOS/Mac OS X for the first step.
As we all know, Mac computer cannot identify a BitLocker encrypted drive. Hence, we need to utilize a third-party tool like iSunshare BitLocker Genius to unlock and mount the drive. Besides, we must have a correct password or recovery key. Otherwise, your BitLocker encrypted drive cannot mount to Mac computer.
Here are several steps to mount/unmount BitLocker encrypted drive with iSunshare BitLocker Genius.
Step 1: Download and install the iSunshare BitLocker Genius on Mac.

Once you have lost BitLocker drive password and recovery key, you can format it if the data inside is not very important to you.
