Firefox allows us to install add-ons to customize a private browser. However, after a long time, you will find that some of them are useless and keep the browser down. So it is necessary to remove them as soon as possible. Under such circumstances, we provided some workarounds to install and remove Firefox add-ons on Windows 10.
Generally, Firefox add-ons include plugins, extensions, and themes. Decide what types of add-ons you want to install and move on.
Step 1: Click on the three lines at the top-right corner, select Add-ons then the Add-ons Manager tab will open.
Note: You can navigate to the Add-ons Manager tab by inputting "about:addons" in the address bar or press Shift + Ctrl + A key on the keyboard.
Step 2: In the Add-ons Manager tab, click on gray toggle button behind which add-on you want to install. Wait for a while, the toggle button turn green thus your add-on has been installed in Firefox. If you cannot find the add-on you want on the home page, you can scroll down and click on "See more add-ons!" button. Restart Firefox to take effect.
Step 1: Open Firefox, click on Menu button at the top-right corner and select Add-ons.
Step 2: Switch to Extensions on the left panel. Tap on gear button, select "Install Add-ons From File" from the drop-down option.

Step 1: Click on Menu button on the top-right corner and tap on Add-ons.
Step 2: Fin out the add-on you hardly use, click Remove from it.

Step 2: Under Application Basics section, click on Open Folder. Delete all extensions files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder.
Step 1: Hit Windows key + R to open the Run window. Input "regedit" and press Enter.
Step 2: From the Menu Bar on the top-left corner, click on Edit > Find.
Tips: You can also use Ctrl + F combination to open Find dialog box.
Step 3: Input "MozillaPlugins" and hit Enter. Right-click to delete, then press F3 to find the next one until you deleted all items.
