Mozilla Firefox allows users to set or change proxy settings to visite some limited websites, such as foreign websites. Furthermore, you can also hide the actual IP address to avoid attacks. Set or change proxy settings in Firefox can increase the speed of access because each Proxy Server is equal to a cache region when different users search the same information, it can exact from Proxy Server directly.
For the latest version it takes three steps to complete:
Step 1: Launch Firefox, click on the three parallel lines at the upper corner to open the menu and select Options from the drop-down list.
Step 2: Tap on General in the left field. Scroll down and click on Settings under Network Proxy section at the page bottom.
Step 3: Then the Connection Settings dialog will pop up. You can configure proxies to access the Internet.
For the previous version, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Click on the top-right corner, tap on Options. Alternatively, you can click on Tools from the menu bar and select Options on the drop-down.
Step 2: Located in the Advanced tab in the left panel. Click on Network then click Settings.
Step 3: Then you will open the Connection Settings window, make some settings if you need.
In the Connection Settings dialog, you will see the five options as below:
Note: Click the Reload button to refresh the file if you have modified the PAC file.
