In the process of using a computer, we always reset or update Windows 10 to address set of issues. However, Microsoft Edge favorites bar would disappear after setting changes system. Take it easy, troubleshooter always at your disposal. We will walk you through how to restore if Microsoft Edge favorites disappeared. There are three ways provided:
Step 1: Open This PC, click on Disk C.
Step 2: Located in the following folder:
C:\Users\<Usersname>
Find out the Favorite folder, right-click on it and select Restore previous version.
Step 3: Relaunch Microsoft Edge to check whether the favorites bar has shown.
Tips: In ordinary, if you want to hide the favorite bar in Microsoft Edge, click the horizontal ellipsis and select Settings in the drop-down menu and turn off Show the favorite bar.
If you've never backed up your bookmarks, you can try this method. If you have reinstalled or reset the Windows 10, the system information will be stored in "Windows.old" folder.
Step 1: Open File Explorer, go to the directory below:
C:\Windows.old\Users\<username>\AppData\Local \Packages\
Microsoft. MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe \AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default
Step 2: Copy and paste this folder into the Default folder: %LocalAppData%\Packages \Microsoft. MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC \MicrosoftEdge\User\Default
Restart your Edge and see the bookmarks appears or not.
Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge, at the top-right corner, click on three horizontal dots. Choose Settings from the list, click on Import from another browser under Import favorites and other info.
Step 2: Check on Internet Explorer and tap on Import. When everything is done, relaunch your Microsoft Edge.
Step 3: Backup Microsoft Edge bookmarks. Open the File Explorer, copy then paste the directory below into the address bar and hit Enter. %LocalAppData%\Packages \Microsoft. MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe \AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default
Copy and paste the Default folder into the place that is easy to remember.
