To free up space and speed up your computer, you can scan and delete a great number of duplicates such as videos, photos, and documents with iSunshare DupFiles Genius. This duplicate files finder is an awesome app to detect duplicate files on your Windows computer or Windows-based devices.
First of all, you should download and install iSunshare DupFiles Genius on your Windows computer. It is better for you to get the full version of the software to delete multiple duplicates at a time.
Launch the software and click the Add button on the bottom right corner to select a folder or drive for scanning. After that, click the Next button.
Here you can configure the scan settings to get a more accurate report. After that, click the Start scanning button to continue.
Settings 1: File size
This software can help to list out the duplicate files according to their size. It is available to set the minimum size or maximum size to scan.
Settings 2: File type
It supports all types of files, including archive, document, audio, video, picture, and so on. You can set one or more types so as to pick out the target duplicates.
Settings 3: Excluding files and folders
iSunshare DupFiles Genius can help to protect hidden files, system files, and program files from being scanned. You can also choose the folder to exclude from scanning.
After the scanning, iSunshare DupFiles Genius will list all duplicate files based on your scanning settings. You can right-click the document and choose the Open file location option to check the files.
After you select the target files and decide to delete them, you can click the Delete button at the bottom. A box will pop out and ask for your confirmation. Click Yes to remove those redundant files.
Wait for minutes and the target duplicate files will be removed successfully. Click OK to end the process.
Tips:
If you do not want choose the duplicate files manually after scanning, you can click the checkbox before File name box to choose duplicates and then click the Delete button. This operation will not delete the original file. In other words, you will keep one among the identical files.
