Generally, when a file is removed with Windows Deletion option, it will be sent to Recycle Bin firstly. This gives you an opportunity to recover the file which is deleted by accident or you regret to remove. However, if you empty the Recycle Bin for releasing disk space or privacy protection, how can you recover the deleted files at this time? Worry not, it's still possible for you to recover deleted files from Recycle Bin after empty. And here are 3 ways to do it.
This way could be applied if you have used File History to backup your files or set up a restore point for the partition in which you save the files before.
Step 1: Open File Explorer.
Step 2: Locate to the place(folder/partition) where the deleted file is stored before and right-click it. Then, select Restore previous versions option from the context menu.
Step 3: Choose the wanted previous version and click Restore button to recover the deleted files.
Have backed up your files with Windows Backup before? Great! You can easily restore the deleted files after deleting them from Recycle Bin by restoring the backup. To do this, here is how.
Step 1: Search Backup and Restore in the start menu and click its related result, which is Backup and Restore in Windows 7/8 or Backup and Restore(Windows 7) in Windows 10.
Step 2: Click Restore my files option in the shown window.
Step 3: Search and choose files you need from the backup with the 3 options: Search, Browse for files or Browse for folders. After that, click Next option to move on.
Step 4: Set a location to save the restored backup and hit Restore button to begin the file restoration.
