SSD has higher speed than HDD that improves work efficiency. Today let me show you a common way to install a new SSD on your Windows desktop PC.
1. Connect data cable with SSD. The interfaces are dedicated, so it is hard to get it wrong.
2. Power-off your computer and open the host cover. Connect another end of the data cable to the host.
3. Plug the power line to the SSD.
1. Restart your computer. A wizard will guide you to initialize disk of SSD. If not, right-click on This PC and navigate to Manage Storage > Disk Management, and the Initialize Disk window will show you at the same time.
2. Choose the MBR or GPT partition style for SSD. When the disk capacity larger than 2TB, choose the GPT, Otherwise, select MBR instead.
3. Right-click on the unallocated and select New Simple Volume.
4. Follow the wizard to format it. Here complete all the installation steps. Make partitions of SSD on Windows 10 if you need to classify files.
