Step 1: Start a Windows computer, download and install iSunshare CloneGo.
Step 2: Insert a USB disk to the computer. Run CloneGo and click Make Boot Disk. Then you will get 2 ways to make the PE file and here you need to choose Select WIM file to make PE.
Step 3: Then, select the inserted USB disk and burn the PE file into the disk by clicking Make. After a while, the WinPE drive will be created.
Note: Before burning the PE file into the selected USB disk, the software will format the disk firstly.
Restart your Windows computer and enter the boot menu to select the WinPE USB drive to boot from. Then connect a storage device to the Windows computer.
Step 1: After the computer is booted from the PE drive successfully, the user interface of CloneGo will be shown automatically.
Step 2: Click Backup in the left pane.
Step 3: Select the partition where the wanted files/data locate to backup and click Choose to select another storage device to save the backup. The backed-up data/files will be packed into an ICG file.
Tips: As the volume letter of the same volume is different in Windows OS and WinPE, you can distinguish the volume with its size.
Step 4: Hit Start to begin the backup task.
Add: The backed-up file can be restored easily with the software's Restore function. The steps are clicking Restore > choosing a restoration destination to save the backed-up data/files > selecting Choose to input the ICG file(backup data) > execute the restoration operation with Start.
