The BIOS is to check all the hardware components attached to the computer and then to load the software on a boot device. So you can use it to configure the hardware on your computer. You can modify settings for hard drives, RAM chips, the CPU and other hardware. As a big attribute that affects the system, it is worth keeping it being efficient. You should pay close attention to compare your current BIOS version with the latest version. And how can you find the BIOS version of a computer? Here we will show them to you.
Step 1: Go to Start Menu, and type run into the search bar, then click Run option in the result list.
Step 2: In the coming dialog, type msinfo32 into the text box and click OK.
Step 3: In the System Information window, scroll down to find the item called BIOS Version/Date.

Step 2: Type wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion in the command window and click Enter.
Note: This command is just to list the number of BIOS version. If you want to get more details about your BIOS version, you can try to type wmic bios get biosversion in the command to find detail information about the version of the BIOS.
Step 1: Go to Start Menu, and type regedit into the search bar.
Step 2: Then you should follow the under path to navigate to the version of BIOS.
