It is no doubt that BitLocker is one of the safest ways to protect our data on drives. However, if you are using a removable flash drive, you may need to decrypt BitLocker drive on another computer.
Whether a Windows computer or Mac computer, you can also open the encrypted drive with the help of this tutorial.
By default, we cannot open, read, and write a BitLocker encrypted drive on Mac computer directly. As a result, you can utilize a third-party tool to unlock and manage it. Here I recommend iSunshare BitLocker Genius which has a simple interface and powerful function.
Step 1: Firstly, you can download and install iSunshare BitLocker Genius into Mac computer.
Step 2: Run it and insert your BitLocker protect drive into Mac computer. Then you may meet "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" error as the image shows below. But don't panic, click on the Ignore button to continue.
Step 3: Select your drive with BitLocker marked at the end of line and click on Unlock.
Step 4: Then you can type your password in the box next to Password and click Mount to unlock the BitLocker protect drive easily. Alternatively, checking on the "use key file" then tap on Open to open the recovery file. The drive icon will show you on the desktop.
If you have a Windows computer at hand, it will be much easier to decrypt the drive.
Step 1: Connect your drive with a Windows 10 computer then unlock the drive with BitLocker encryption by the correct password or recovery key.
Step 2: Right-click on the BitLocker encrypted drive and select Manage BitLocker.
Step 3: After that, click on Turn off BitLocker. When a prompt show you, click the Turn off BitLocker again and it will automatically decrypt.
Step 1: Press Windows + X and select Command Prompt (Admin).

Step 2: Then run "manage-bde -unlock G: -RecoveryPassword YOUR-BITLOCKER-RECOVERY-KEY" to unlock BitLocker derive.
Or you can type "manage-bde -unlock G: -RecoveryKey PATH_OF-BITLOCKER_RECOVERY_KEY_FILE" as well.
Step 3: To turn off BitLocker, execute the command below. manage-bde -off g:
