Part 1: Learn about Google Account Verification

Google Account Verification, also called Factory Reset Protection (short for FRP), is a security feature that comes with Android OS Version 5.1 Lollipop. When you add a google account on the Android phone, FRP is automatically activated. In this way, it prevents the use of your Android phone after factory reset from unreliable access. Thus, after you factory reset the Samsung phone with FRP lock, you will be asked to sign in the Google account that was used on the phone. If you fail to do that, it is impossible for you to unlock the FRP lock to use the phone.
