Open the software, there are four recovery types you can choose. The Normal and Mask Recovery Types can set relevant parameters according to the password information you remember, such as password Range and Length, which can shorten the time of unlocking password-protected Excel files.
You can tick the Brute-force range options, which include All caps Latin, All small Latin, All digits, All special symbols, Space, and All printable. Here are some examples:
● Remember the password is digits.
Tick All digits.
● Remember the password is lowercase letters and uppercase letters.
Tick All caps Latin and All small Latin.
● Remember the password is digits and lowercase letters.

Here are a few cases to show how to set the parameters:

Then type "sun" in the End at box.
● Remember that the beginning of the password is "excel" and the end is "sun", but not the middle.
Then type "excel" in the Start from box and "sun" in the End at box.
● Remember at the beginning and end of the password is "excel, sun", and a few special symbols in the middle.
Type "excel" in the Start from box and "sun" in the End at box. Then tick All special symbols on the left.
You can also set a fixed value for your password under the Length option.
For example, if you remember that your password length is 6 to 8, then you can set the Minimum password length to 6 and the Maximum password length to 8:
Mask recovery type. If you have some specific impressions of the password, such as remembering the length of the password is 8, and the password is something like: "excel????sun" (one "?" represents a character you don't know), you can type it into the Mask box directly, and you can tick the appropriate Brute-force range options.
After selecting the recovery type and setting parameters suitable for you, click the Open button to import the Excel file you want to unlock the password, the file address will appear in the box of Encrypted File.
Then click the Start button to recover the Excel file password, and the decryption result page will pop up, you can copy the password for free or open the file directly.
