This guide describes how to use iSunshare Windows Password Genius Android version (also name WPGenius) to create a Windows Password Reset disk with Android phone, and use the reset disk to unlock forgotten password for Windows 11/10/8/7/vista/xp/2016/2012/2008/2003.
2. Boot the locked computer from password reset disk
3. Reset forgotten password for Windows or create new account.
Attention: To create a password reset disk on Android, you must prepare a rooted android phone or device. See How to root android phone. The latest android phones are hard to be rooted. I recommend you to use the old phone to run WPGenius.
Tips: iSunshare Windows Password Genius for Android, alias WPGenius.
WPGenius offers two ways to create a password reset disk:
The software and tools must be prepared: Windows Password Genius for android + a rooted android phone + an OTG cable (Android port to USB port)+ a USB drive.
Instructions to create a usb password disk:
First, grant root permission for WPGenius. Run root management tool (SuppSU, Kingo) to authorize root permission to WPGenius (See Image-001).
Second, run WPGenius, connect USB Flash Drive to android Phone with OTG cable, and then click "Burn" button to make a password reset disk.
After creating password disk successfully, you can use the password disk to reset forgotten password for Windows.
Tip: If you fail to create the password reset disk in this way, please try another way Create a USB Password Reset Disk via Android Phone.
Instructions to change android phone to password disk:
First, grant root permission for WPGenius. Run root management tool (SuppSU, Kingo) to authorize root permission to WPGenius (See Image-001).
Second, connect the phone to the locked computer with USB cable (See Image-002). Drag from top, select "USB Option", and then set the phone connection as a media device(MTP) (See Image-003).
Next, run WPGenius, choose Phone option, and then click Mount button to set phone as a Windows Password Reset disk.
Inset the USB password reset disk to the locked computer (or connect the android to the locked computer), and restart the locked computer. When the vendor logo appears, press the BOOT Menu Key (Find BOOT Menu Key for your computer) repeatedly until Boot Menu appears, then choose USB flash drive to boot from.
More detail, see how to set computer to boot from USB flash drive.
When Windows Password Genius starts, choose a user account, click "Reset Password", and then click "Reboot" to restart your computer. After restarting, you can login Windows with new password.
Typically, we should clear that the rooting is the Android equivalent of jailbreaking which means you can install the unapproved Apps, delete unwanted bloatware, replace the firmware, and over lock the processor. If you don't know how to root an Android phone, you can just navigate to a third-party root app called Kingo Root to get some inspirations.
