Way 1: Create a new shortcut named Event Viewer on the desktop.

Step 1: Right-click any blank area on the desktop, tap New in the context menu and choose Shortcut in the sub-menu.

Step 2: In the Create Shortcut window, enter %windir%\system32\eventvwr.msc in the empty box and hit Next.

Step 3: Type Event Viewer in the name box and click Finish to create this shortcut.

Way 2: Send the Event Viewer shortcut to the desktop.

Step 1: Enter admin in the search box on taskbar and select Administrative Tools in the result.

Step 2: Among the Administrative Tools, right-tap Event Viewer, point at Send to on the menu and choose Desktop (create shortcut) in the sub-list.

Way 3: Create a BAT file for Event Viewer on the desktop.

Step 1: Open Notepad from Start Menu and type eventvwr (or eventvwr.msc) in it.

Step 2: Open the Save As window by Ctrl+S, choose Desktop, type Event Viewer.bat in the file name box and tap Save.
