A: There are two data recovery modes provided in iOS Data Genius to recover lost iOS data. Recover from iOS Device and Recover from iTunes Backup File, each of them has its advantages and disadvantages.

Even though there are several common features between them, there is still something different between Recover from iOS Device and Recover from iTunes Backup.

6-1 Recovered iOS data type

Media files can be recovered from iTunes backups. But you can only get the thumbnails of photos and videos when switching to "Recover from iOS Device", while all types data can be restored in few clicks, when you choose "Recover from iTunes Backup File".

6-2 iOS data recovery occasion

When your iOS data is lost recently, choose "Recover from iOS Device". When your iOS data has been deleted for a long time, or iOS device is lost, it would be better to select "Recover from iTunes Backup File".
