To update your Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, you should make sure that TPM2.0 is supported and enabled on your PC. So, how to check whether your PC meets this requirement or not? You should check if your PC has Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0. In this article, you can learn three easy ways to check whether there is TPM2.0 on your computer for Windows 11 or not.
Step 1: On your Windows 10 computer desktop, go to click the Start icon and then click the Settings icon.
Step 2: In Windows settings interface, select Update & Security.
Step 3: Then select Windows Security from the left menu. You can check multiple protection areas on the right panel. After that, click the Device security.
Step 4: When there is no Security processor option and you can see "Standard hardware security not support" text, TPM 2.0 is not enabled on your computer.
Otherwise, you can check the Security processor option and then click Security processor details to go ahead.
Here, you can know the information about the TPM, such as the specification version.
Step 1: When the computer is on, press Windows key and the R key on the keyboard to open Run app.
Step 2: Enter tpm.msc and then click OK to open the TPM Management on Local Computer.
Step 3: If there is no TPM available, you can find the message "Compatible TPM cannot be found".
If there is TPM ready for use, you can check its version: 2.0.
Step 1: Open the File explorer and you can find This PC option on the left menu. Right click This PC and choose the Manage option.
Step 2: In the Computer Management interface, you can click Device Manager and then find the Security devices. Click it and you can find Trusted Platform Module 2.0.
