When using a computer, the keyboard is an indispensable tool, especially when you are typing something on the internet, or writing a passage. But what will you do when the keyboard is not working properly? Maybe most of you guys will try to repair it directly.
Due to the fact that there are two main kinds of PC: desktop PC and laptop PC, we offer different tricks to teach you how to fix the problem occurred in the keyboard.
As for the desktop PC, there are two situations caused by internal reason and external reason.
1. Internal reason: The keyboard does not work because the internal circuit board is corrupted. You would better buy a new keyboard.
2. External reason: There are something beneath the keys that prevent the keyboard working in a right way.
Solution to clean the places beneath those keys
Use an instrument that compress air to blow out the waste beneath the keys.
Pry the keys off by small screwdriver directly.
Clear the place under the keys and then reinstall the keys.
As for the laptop PC, you can not just simply replace the built-in keyboard in the laptop. There are many reasons contributed to the laptop keyboard failure. We just offer the solutions for most common ones.
Situation 1: Something beneath the keys
Just like what we mentioned above, the best way to solve this problem is to use an instrument that compress the air to blow out the waste beneath the keys.
Situation 2: Keyboard has no response without prompts suddenly
Sometimes software or drive issue make this situation, and our recommended advice is restarting your laptop.
Situation 3: Keyboard stops working after some installation of software or changes to settings

1. You can restore your system to the previous status to fix the problem. First, start with Start Menu and find the Control Panel.
2. In Control Panel window, you can choose option labeled with Back up your computer under the heading option System and Security.
3. Click Recover system settings or your computer option.
4. In the coming page, you can click the button named Open System Restore to restore system.
Attention: You should back up the important data before the process of system restoring in case of the losing of data.
Situation 4: The keyboard driver needs to be updated
Some brand of keyboards have drivers to motivate them. If you don't regularly update them, the keyboard may be infuenced by this factor.
Solution for updating the keyboard driver
1. Do the same actions mentioned above to find out and click the option called System and Security, then in the coming page, choose the option called Device Manager under the heading System.
2. Click on Keyboards option and you will find its driver under it. If it has a yellow triangle on it with an exclamation mark inside it, then it means there is a problem. You can go to your laptop manufacturer's website and look for the latest driver to download and install.
Situation 5: Need for an alternative keyboard when you keyboard stop working
You have no other keyboard right now, but you need to use the keyboard to do some important things.

1. Click on Start Menu and from there, click on All Programs.
2. Find and click on Accessories and in there, click on Ease of Access. You will find the On-Screen Keyboard option there, just click on it to start using it.
